Cleanses? Are they good or bad for you? Is there a great cleanse that you can recommend?

I do NOT believe that cleanses are beneficial, especially if you work out. I do think our bodies have a natural way of cleaning itself, and getting rid of waste and toxins. Long-term fasts can lead to muscle breakdown and a shortage of many needed nutrients. In addition, when you deprive the body of vitamins and minerals you can actually weaken the immune system. My suggestion…if you are looking to cleanse the body try a clean eating, organic only diet for a week. See how differently you feel and how different food tastes when its all natural and organic!
